Tools->Internet options->Security Tab
Click on Custome Level Button brings User Authentication section
change to Automatic logon.

My Network places
Double-click the My Network Places icon.
Select the Add a network place icon.
Next->Select Choose another network connection->Next.

Meeting Workspaces

Site Collections
Consists of a top-level site, subsites and content contained in those sites. Document workspaces and meeting workspaces can contained with in site collections.
Site Groups
A Site Administrators can specify who can perform which actions in the site by adding users to SharePoint site groups. ex Readers has read-only access to the site.
Creating a Subsite
Click in the top navigation bar of the site home page
It incliudes a list of options

Picture Libraries
Lists
custom Lists
Discussion Boards
Surveys etc..
Workspaces Defined
just another subsite. Documents can be stored in workspace. Only one copy is stored and team members can access it.
It includes a number of Web Parts including

Meeting Workspaces
It contains Objective Web Part
Attendees
Agenda
Dcument Library Web Parts


Document Library
Can be added to the site by document Library Web Part.
It is possible to
New Columns can be added.
A user can set an alert.
All Documents views can be fine-tuned to how information is displayed.


Role Of Site Administrator
From Site home page. Click Site Settings link.
Select one option 1.Administration 2.Customization 3.Manage My Information.
Site Groups
Default groups are 4
Addministrator- full and unrestricted acceess.
Reader- read only access to site.
Contributor- add content to document libraries and lists.
Web Designer- can customize pages to the site.

Add Users

Web Parts
Content Editor - formatting text, tables and emages.
Form - used to create simple HTML forms.
XML Web Parts - behaves as a regular web server.
